» Christmas Markets of Germany and France - 8 Day Coach Tour

Day 1 - Arrive Munich (2 nights)
Time to relax before a Welcome Dinner and wine with your Tour Director and fellow travellers. (Welcome Dinner). Hotel: Westin Grand Arabella Park (2 nights)

Day 2 - Munich orientation & Christmas market
Our orientation highlights the Olympic Stadium, the Marienplatz and the 'Hofbrauhaus'. Enjoy the festive tradition of the Christmas markets and buy hand crafted items while warming yourself on roasted chestnuts. Tonight, why not enter into the Christmas spirit at one of the city's Beer-Halls? (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 3 - Munich – Nuremberg (2 nights)
Off to Augsburg stopping to admire its Cathedral and visit the Christmas market. Then along the Romantic Road to Rothenburg with time to admire its houses and Christmas shops and market. On to Nuremberg. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner). Hotel: Hilton Nuremburg (2 nights)

Day 4 - Nuremberg orientation & Christmas market
This town provides a fairy-tale backdrop to Germany's most fascinating Christmas market. Enjoy a walking tour of this traffic-free city seeing the squares, St. Sebald Church, Castle and fortifications. Plenty of free time to explore. (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 5 - Nuremberg – Strasbourg (2 nights)
We drive up to Heidelberg Castle to visit its courtyard and ancient cellars and to admire the Great Vat! There's time to shop for Christmas decorations before following the Rhine Valley to France. We enter the Alsace region and its capital – Strasbourg. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner).

Day 6 - Strasbourg sightseeing & Christmas market
Today's guided sightseeing features the Cathedral, the merchants' houses, the Place Gutenberg, and the picturesque quarter of 'La Petite France'. We also enjoy a glass-roofed boat cruise (weather permitting) through its many charming canals. Later, at leisure why not take an excursion to the wine-village of Riquewihr? (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 7 - Strasbourg – Munich
Back into Germany and via the University city of Freiburg on the River Dreisam at the gates of the Black Forest. We enjoy a scenic drive past half-timbered houses, large farms, fields of cherry trees and conifer covered hills and mountains to Lake Titisee. Then we follow the Rhine to Germany's largest lake - Lake Constance. We drive along the pretty lake to Lindau - the most important town on its Bavarian shores - located on an island in the lake linked to the mainland by a bridge. After time to explore this popular resort we return to Munich for the final night of our tour. (Buffet Breakfast). Hotel: Westin Grand Arabella Park

Day 8 - Depart Munich
Farewell today for your return flight home. (Buffet Breakfast)
