Day 1 London - Salisbury - Plymouth (2)
Today we travel via mysterious Stonehenge to Salisbury, to view its Cathedral. Then we continue to the port of Plymouth where we see the area known as the Hoe, where Sir Francis Drake played bowls before going on to defeat the Spanish Armada. (3 Course Evening Meal)


Day 2 Plymouth - Cornwall Excursion

First we drive into Cornwall and to Mounts Bay where we see St. Michael's Mount. On through Penzance to the quaint village of St. Ives. Finally we return via the Moors to Plymouth. (Continental Breakfast and 3 Course Evening Meal)

Day 3 Plymouth - Bath - Stratford - Coventry
Today we drive to Bath to admire its renowned Georgian buildings. Then on across the Cotswolds to Stratford-upon-Avon which is Shakespeare's birthplace. Next on to Coventry, to view its two Cathedrals, before arriving at our hotel. (Continental Breakfast and 3 Course Evening Meal)


Day 4
Coventry - Wedgwood - Chester - Lymm
This morning we travel to the 'Potteries' and nearby Stoke-on-Trent to visit the world famous Wedgwood Pottery Centre. On to Chester with time to stroll the arcaded streets known as the 'Rows' before we reach our hotel in Lymm. (Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 5 Lymm - Airth Castle (2 nights)
Today, we enjoy a scenic drive through the Lake District to visit Grasmere, home of the great poet William Wordsworth. Then we cross the Scottish border and drive to Airth Castle, close to Scotland's elegant capital - Edinburgh, for our two-night stays. (Breakfast)


Day 6 Edinburgh Sightseeing and at leisure
We drive to nearby Edinburgh where morning sightseeing shows us the Royal Mile, Princes Street and views the famous Castle. Later, free time perhaps to shop for tartans and famous Scotch whisky. Or maybe visit Holyrood House, home of Mary Queen of Scots. Tonight, why not enjoy a lively Scottish banquet with haggis and bagpipe music? (Full English Breakfast)

Day 7 Airth Castle - Grantown on Spey (2 nights)
This morning we will travel across the mighty Forth Bridge to picturesque St. Andrews, with its world famous Golf Course. Then we continue onwards via Dundee, Perth, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl, before our arrival in Grantown on Spey for two nights. (Continental Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 8 Isle of Sky Excursion
After breakfast today's excursion takes us first to Culloden, where we visit the battlefield. From here we continue past Inverness and along the shores of Loch Ness to Invermorriston and Fort Augustus. Next we travel over the Kyle of Lochalsh to the Isle of Skye where we spend a short time before returning to our hotel. (Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 9 Grantown on Spey - Glasgow
First we cross Scotland to the shores of Loch Linnhe and Fort William, in the shadow of Ben Nevis – Britain's highest mountain. Then on to Glencoe and along the 'bonnie banks' of Loch Lomond as we make our way to Glasgow. On arrival we enjoy a short orientation tour before arriving at our hotel for the night. (Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 10 Glasgow - Leeds
We cross the border into England at Gretna Green, wedding venue for runaway lovers. Next we continue to Durham. Here time to explore the cobbled streets and wonder at the Norman Cathedral and Castle. Then we drive to Viking York where orientation includes the famous Minster and picturesque 'Shambles'. Next to nearby Leeds for the night.

Day 11 Leeds - Cambridge - London
Today we drive through rolling countrysides to the University city of Cambridge with its many colleges set along the banks of the River Cam. Maybe take a trip on a 'punt' before returning to London.

Plymouth Harbour Cruise
A boat trip around the harbour of one of England’s most famous seaports. View the Mayflower steps where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America, and ships sailed for Australia, New Zealand and Newfoundland. See panoramic vistas of Plymouth Hoe, site of Drake’s legendary game of bowls. Into the Royal Navy Dockyard and a chance to see some of the modern vessels of the Royal Navy. A descriptive commentary is given by the skipper. 10 (£)

EDINBURGH. Rosslyn Chapel Tour & Trail
With a local guide, we drive out of Edinburgh to the tiny village of Rosslyn, where we have a tour of the famous Rosslyn Chapel. Visit one of Scotland's most unusual 15th Century buildings, famed for its associations with the Knights Templar, the Masonic movement, and now 'The Da Vinci Code'. Intricate carvings of New World plants, and secret chambers make this a must on any visit to Scotland. Afterwards there is the opportunity to visit the chapel shop and maybe take a stroll in the beautiful Rosslyn Glen before returning to Edinburgh. 18 (£)

North Wales Excursion
Out of England and into Wales! Our excursion to Wales takes us to Llangollen the home of the International Music Eisteddfod. All around us are wonderful sights and sounds - the River Dee, steam trains at the Victorian railway station, a myriad of flowers on the river bank. Listen out for the local people speaking the sing-song Welsh language. We then travel through the magnificent Valley of the Cross, past the slate mines and up to the Horseshoe Pass to enjoy views of the Welsh hills, no wonder the Welsh sing for joy. 8.5 (£)

A spectacular ride to the heart of the Nevis Mountain Range. Here’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to stand almost on the 'roof of Britain' and enjoy views of Scotland’s most breathtaking scenery. 11 (£)
