Day 1 Arrive Dublin
You'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Later, a sightseeing tour shows us Dublin Castle, Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral and Phoenix Park.
Day 2 Dublin - Ballina (Co. Mayo) (2 nights)
After breakfast this morning we start the day at Boyle where we view the 12th century Cistercian Abbey ruins. Then we continue our journey through the lush green countryside of this Emerald Isle to County Mayo. Next we stop to visit the town of Knock which has attracted thousands of pilgrims since villagers saw apparitions of the Virgin Mary before reaching the town of Ballina for our two-night stay. Day 3 Ballina - County Mayo Excursion
Today we discover the Mayo coastline as we head to Clew Bay with its plunging cliffs and crashing waves. Then from Achill Island, we enjoy stunning views over the Atlantic to mountainous Clare Island, one time home of pirate queen, Grace O'Malley. Later it's back to Castlebar.

Day 4 Ballina (County Mayo) - Ennis (2 nights)
Our morning journey takes us through the rustic region of Connemara where we make a stop at Kylemore Abbey. Next we head on to Galway city where we hear about Christopher Columbus' visit on his way to discover America. Finally, we travel into County Clare with its stunning coastal scenery at the Cliffs of Moher and onward to our hotel in Ennis for our two night stay. (Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 5 Limerick Excursion
Today we head to Limerick, the setting for Angela's Ashes. Orientation shows us St. Mary's Cathedral and King John's castle. With some time at leisure there's a chance to visit Bunratty Folk Park before returning to our hotel. (Full English Breakfast)
Day 6 Ennis - Killarney - Waterville
This morning we will continue south to County Kerry, with time to visit Killarney and its lakes. Next it's a scenic drive across Macgillycuddy Reeks and the 'Ring of Kerry', completing half of this spectacular trip, as we make our way to the hotel in Waterville. (Continental Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 7 Waterville - Dublin
Today we complete the 'Ring of Kerry' drive and continue across the Derrynasaggart mountains to Blarney Castle. Perhaps acquire the 'gift of the gab' by kissing the Blarney Stone. From here we continue back to Dublin. (Full English Breakfast)
Day 8 Depart Dublin
Today Trafalgar transfers you to the airport for your return flight home.

Irish Wonder Optional Excursions:
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park
Visit the 15th century Castle with its fine furnishings, antiques and paintings. Bunratty was built by the MacNamaras and became the main stronghold of the powerful O’Brien clan. Experience the Ireland of yesteryear as you wander through the folk park with its thatched cottages and smoky turf fires - a way of life that has all but gone now. In the village street there are shops, a school and a bakery - maybe treat yourself to some of the freshly baked cakes in the village tea room. 18 (€)
Irish Celi Evening
Enjoy the great atmosphere or ‘craic’ at our ceili evening. Traditional Irish music and dancing and the chance to sing along to some familiar Irish melodies. Dinner is included on this fun evening. 54 (€)
Killarney Jaunting Car Ride
Take a traditional pony and trap ride through the streets of Killarney and into the beautiful Bourne - Vincent National Park. Your ‘Jarvey’ will tell you stories about Killarney - remember he has probably kissed the Blarney Stone once or twice! 17 (€)

Over an excellent dinner you’ll enjoy a non-stop show featuring comedy, dance, song, music and fine food. Ireland’s musical history unfolds in a cabaret that will delight you long after the night has ended. The cast will have you tapping your toes and joining in the fun, and it’s all wrapped up in the spirit of Irish humour. Muckross House and Gardens
The oak clad mountains provide a dramatic backdrop to the beautiful gardens around Muckross House. Towering Azaleas and Rhododendrons vie with each other for your attention amid the quiet meandering walks along the shores of the Killarney Lakes. The 18th century house, standing amid twenty thousand acres of park is a microcosm of Irish history. It contains wonderful examples of furniture and paintings. Keep an eye out for the brooding portrait of King James VI for whom Shakespeare wrote Macbeth, or Countess Catherine of Desmond painted in the 136th year of her age. Guided visit 15 (€)
River Shannon Cruise
