Day 1 London - Salisbury - Bath
Greetings as we travel to Salisbury Plain. See ancient Stonehenge with its mystical tales of Druids and sun worship. In Salisbury we view the Cathedral en route to Jane Austen's Bath where we admire the Georgian architecture. Time to shop for postcards and souvenirs before arriving at our hotel.

Day 2 - Bath - Wells - Plymouth (2 nights)
Today we drive to nearby Cheddar Gorge to admire its rugged beauty.Then we stop to visit the beautiful city of Wells, with an awe- inspiring Cathedral. From here we continue our journey through Thomas Hardy's Wessex and its rolling green hills, before reaching Exeter, where orientation shows us the Hoe and Drakes Harbour. (Breakfast)

Day 3 - Devon and Cornwall Excursion
This morning we will have the opportunity to take a boat trip around the harbour before continuing to Marazion, where we see St. Michael's Mount before heading north to the Atlantic coast of Cornwall and the artists' colony of St. Ives. Finally after an amazing scenic day we return to our hotel in Plymouth for dinner and our second night. (Breakfast / Dinner)


Day 4 - Plymouth - Cardiff
We drive through the 'scrumpy' county of Somerset and on to Bristol to see Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge on our orientation tour of this fine city. Finally across the Severn bridge into Wales and our hotel in Cardifft. (Breakfast / Dinner).

Day 5 - Cardiff - Waterford
This morning we visit nearby Cardiff, capital of Wales. Here orientation shows us the castle and Millennium Stadium Cardiff Arms Park. Then we drive through South Wales via Camarthan to Pembroke, where a ferry takes us across the Irish Sea to Rosslare. From here by coach we arrive in Waterford, home of the famous crystal for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 - Waterford - Cork - Waterville

This morning we drive via Cork, stopping to visit Blarney Castle with a chance to acquire the 'gift of the gab'. Into County Kerry and down Dingle Bay to Waterville. We have begun the famous 'Ring of Kerry' drive. (Full English Breakfast and 3 Course Evening Meal)

Day 7 - Waterville - Ennis
A succession of mountains, bays and pretty towns lead us to the lakes of Killarney, before stopping in Killarney itself. On to Limerick, where orientation shows us St. Mary's Cathedral and St. John's castle before reaching the pretty village of Ennis for the night. (Full English Breakfast)


Day 8 - Ennis - Dublin (2)

First to Nenagh in County Tipperary, with its ruined castle and former home of the Butler family. Finally, via the horse-breeding area of Kildare to Dublin, Ireland's capital. (Full English Breakfast)

Day 9 - Dublin at leisure
Morning sightseeing features Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Phoenix Park and the impressive Four Courts. The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps shop for Irish tweeds and linen or visit a Stately Home. (Full English Breakfast)


Day 10 - Dublin - Lymm
We head off this morning to Dublin Bay, where we board our ferry and cruise to Holyhead on the Isle of Anglesey. Here we join our coach and enjoy the scenery of the North Wales coastline as we skirt Snowdonia National Park. We stop to visit Chester and admire its famous galleried 'Rows' and medieval buildings before we continue to our hotel at Runcorn for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11 - Chester area (Runcorn) – Edinburgh (Falkirk) (2 nights)
Enjoy today's scenic drive through the beautiful Lake District, reminiscent of scenery which inspired William Wordsworth's famous poem, 'Daffodils'. Then we cross the Scottish border and continue across the Southern Uplands to Edinburgh, Scotland's elegant capital, for two nights. (Full Breakfast)


Day 12 Edinburgh at leisure

Our morning sightseeing tour shows us Princes Street and the Royal Mile. Later you're at leisure - perhaps visit Holyrood House or potter around Grass Market. This evening, you have the option of a night out with Highland dancing, bagpipes and regional specialities such as haggis. (Full English Breakfast)

Day 13 - Edinburgh (Falkirk) – Highlands – Newtonmore
Today's journey takes us towards the Fife Coast to see St. Andrews, home of the famous Golf Course. From here we drive via Pitlochry with views of Blair Atholl as we head into the Highlands to the ski resort of Newtonmore for the night. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)


Day 14 - Newtonmore – Glasgow
After breakfast this morning we drive via Inverness and along the shores of Loch Ness passing Ben Nevis – Britain's highest mountain. Then on to notorious Glencoe, where the Macdonalds met their doom at the hands of the Campbells. Finally, we continue to Loch Lomond's bonnie banks before reaching our hotel near Glasgow. Day 15 - Glasgow - York - Leeds
An orientation drive in Glasgow shows us the Cathedral and George Square. Then we enjoy a scenic drive to Moffat Woollens with time to purchase tweeds and tartans. Next, we make a picture stop at Hadrian's Wall, before our arrival in Viking York. Here we admire the Minster and stroll along the medieval 'Shambles'. Later, we continue our journey to nearby Leeds for the night. (Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 16 - Leeds - Coventry - Stratford - London
This morning we drive through the Midlands to Coventry to view the old and new Cathedrals standing side by side. Then on to Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford- upon-Avon. There's time to explore this historic town before we head off through the scenic Cotswolds back to London. (Breakfast)

Plymouth Harbour Cruise.
A boat trip around the harbour of one of England’s most famous seaports. View the Mayflower steps where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America, and ships sailed for Australia, New Zealand and Newfoundland. See panoramic vistas of Plymouth Hoe, site of Drake’s legendary game of bowls. Into the Royal Navy Dockyard and a chance to see some of the modern vessels of the Royal Navy. Lake Windermere Cruise and Steam Train Ride
A chance to view the glorious scenery of the lake district as we cruise across England’s largest lake. Then step back in time as we board the steam train for a short journey from Lakeside to Haverthwaite.

Edinburgh Scottish Show with Dinner
Tonight is a chance to put on that tartan and join us for an evening of singing, dancing and bagpipe playing. There is food, wine and a great atmosphere. Loch Lomond Boat Trip
Discover the wild beauty of the 'Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond'. Glendalough. The Glen of the Two Lakes
This is one of the most important monastic sites in Europe dating back to the 7th century. This sacred site is famous for its tranquil beauty - set amidst the rolling countryside of County Wicklow, the garden of Ireland. 18 (€)

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park
Visit the 15th century Castle with its fine furnishings, antiques and paintings. Bunratty was built by the MacNamaras and became the main stronghold of the powerful O’Brien clan. Experience the Ireland of yesteryear as you wander through the folk park with its thatched cottages and smoky turf fires - a way of life that has all but gone now. In the village street there are shops, a school and a bakery - maybe treat yourself to some of the freshly baked cakes in the village tea room. 18 (€)

Craggaunowen
Join us on a journey back to the time of St. Patrick and Ireland’s Golden Age. Located in a remote and scenic part of County Clare, Craggaunowen is a re-creation of the Celtic way of life. You will be taken to see the Dwelling houses, Furnsteads, and other features of everyday life during the Iron Age and Early Christian eras. With a local guide, we drive out of Edinburgh to the tiny village of Rosslyn, where we have a tour of the famous Rosslyn Chapel. Visit one of Scotland's most unusual 15th Century buildings, famed for its associations with the Knights Templar, the Masonic movement, and now 'The Da Vinci Code'. Intricate carvings of New World plants, and secret chambers make this a must on any visit to Scotland.
