Day 1 London - Coventry
Our first stop today is the University town of Oxford. A chance to walk the cobbled streets before we continue through the rolling Cotswold Hills to Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace. Tonight, we stay in the city of Lady Godiva, Coventry. (3 Course Evening Meal)


Day 2 Coventry - Leeds

Our day begins with a visit to the two Cathedrals, learning of the horrific World War II bombing raids. Then onto Viking York where orientation shows us the gothic Minster and the 11th century 'Shambles'. Finally we reach our hotel in Leeds. (Full English Breakfast and 3 Course Evening Meal)

Day 3 Leeds - Airth Castle (2)
Our first stop today is the city of Durham, with its cathedral and castle set high above the river Wear. We continue through the Northumberland National Park and into Scotland, stopping to view the ruins of Jedburgh Abbey, en route to Airth Castle. (Full English Breakfast)


Day 4 Edinburgh at leisure

We drive to nearby Edinburgh where sightseeing shows us Princes Street and the Royal Mile. Later you're at leisure. Perhaps visit Holyrood House or potter around Grass Market. Tonight, you have the option of a night out with Highland dancing, bagpipes and regional specialities such as Haggis. (Full English Breakfast)

Day 5 Airth Castle - Preston
Today, we drive through the Southern Uplands to Moffat Woollens en route back into England. Then we enjoy a scenic drive through the Lake District stopping in Grasmere. Along the shores of Windermere and through pastures, reminiscent of Wordsworth's great poetry to Preston for dinner and overnight stay. (Breakfast / Dinner)


Day 6 Preston - Dublin (2 nights)
We're off to Roman Chester this morning, with a chance to admire its Tudor architecture and galleried shops known as the 'Rows'. From here we skirt the Snowdonia National Park to Holyhead where we board our ferry and cruise to Ireland. On arrival we board our coach and continue to Dublin for our two-night stay. (Breakfast)

Day 7 Dublin at leisure
Our morning sightseeing in the 'fair city' features Trinity College and Phoenix Park. Then you're free. Perhaps visit an Irish stately home or shop for fine linens and tweeds in O'Connell Street.

Day 8
Dublin - Ennis
Today our journey takes us across rich farmland to Galway. Here there's time to view the Cathedral before we continue our drive alongside Galway Bay. From here we continue to Ennis where we spend the night. (Breakfast)

Day 9 Ennis - Limerick - Waterville
This morning we drive to nearby Limerick, where a short orientation shows us St. Mary's Cathedral and King John's Castle. Then there's time perhaps to visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park before we begin our drive via the prettiest village in Ireland, Adare en route to Killarney. We drive around the 'Ring of Kerry' with magnificent scenery including plunging cliffs, granite mountains and enthralling seascapes. Later on to Waterville for the night. (Breakfast / Dinner)


Day 10 Waterville - Cork - Waterford

Today we travel into County Cork, stopping at Blarney Castle to kiss the famous stone and acquire the 'gift of the gab'. Next on to Cork, where orientation shows us the City Hall and St. Anne's Shandon Church. On to Waterford, home of the world-renowned crystal, before we arrive at our hotel. (Full English Breakfast and 3 Course Evening Meal)

Day 11 Waterford - Cardiff
We travel to Rosslare to join our ferry to Pembroke in South Wales. Next on to Tenby, where we have time to stroll along the front in this attractive seaside resort. Finally on to our hotel in Cardiff.

Day 12 Cardiff - Bath - London

Sightseeing in the Welsh capital, Cardiff shows us the Millenium Stadium and the historic castle. Then we cross the River Severn into England and the city of Bath. We see the Royal Crescent and have time to walk the Georgian streets. Next we continue past mysterious Stonehenge to Salisbury with time to view its impressive Cathedral before returning to London.

Trossachs Tour
Known as the gateway to the Highlands - lochs, glens and mountains combine in one of Britain’s most scenic landscapes. We enjoy views of Stirling and Doune Castles as around each bend of the twisting Highland road the legends of Scotland come to life. Stories of William Wallace, Rob Roy MacGregor and Walter Scott’s ‘Lady of the Lake’. In case you were wondering ‘Trossachs’ means ‘the bristly country’.

Edinburgh Scottish Show with Dinner
Tonight is a chance to put on that tartan and join us for an evening of singing, dancing and bagpipe playing. There is food, wine and a great atmosphere. Join in with the singing, we’ll show you a Highland dance or two and there's a chance to sample Scotland’s national dish - haggis. It’s a grand night and a wonderful way to celebrate anevening in Edinburgh. 39.50 (£)

Dublin Malahide Stately Home
Malahide is both a castle and a stately home, and has been the seat of the Talbot family since the reign of Henry II. Today, it is the home of the National Portrait Gallery of Ireland as well as one of the finest collections of Georgian furniture and antiques in the country. There are fine gardens, wonderful views of Dublin Bay and even a famous miniature railway close by. 17 (€)

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park
Visit the 15th century Castle with its fine furnishings, antiques and paintings. Bunratty was built by the MacNamaras and became the main stronghold of the powerful O’Brien clan. Experience the Ireland of yesteryear as you wander through the folk park with its thatched cottages and smoky turf fires - a way of life that has all but gone now. In the village street there are shops, a school and a bakery - maybe treat yourself to some of the freshly baked cakes in the village tea room. 18 (€)
