Day 1 - London – Runnymede – Stonehenge – Salisbury – Plymouth
We set off for a drive through Runnymede, where the Magna Carta was sealed. We will see Windsor Castle as we continue via Salisbury Plain to Stonehenge. Next we view magnificent Salisbury Cathedral, with the tallest spire in Britain. Then we drive through Thomas Hardy country to Plymouth, the port of departure for the Pilgrim Fathers. Here we will enjoy a Welcome Dinner and drink with our Tour Director and fellow travelling companions. (Welcome Dinner)

Day 2 Plymouth – Bath – Bristol
Today's morning drive skirts the Dartmoor National Park and takes us through Somerset to Glastonbury to visit the Abbey ruins. Then we're off to historic Bath where an orientation tour includes a visit to the Roman Baths. From here we continue to our hotel in Bristol. (Full English Breakfast)

Day 3 Bristol – Stow-on-the-Wold – Stratford – Wedgwood – Chester
This morning we enjoy a scenic drive through the heart of the Cotswolds to the characteristic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold. From here we continue our journey arriving at Stratford-upon-Avon where we visit Shakespeare's birthplace and drive past Anne Hathaway's cottage. Finally, we're off to the Wedgwood pottery centre before continuing to our hotel for the night. Perhaps enjoy dinner in a local pub tonight.(Full English breakfast)

Day 4 Chester – Lake District – York
After breakfast we make our way into the English Lake District and on to picturesque Windermere. There's a chance to enjoy the views before driving across the Yorkshire Dales to the ancient city of York, where we our Tour Director takes us on a walking tour through the medieval streets to the 'Shambles'. Then enjoy some time at leisure to perhaps visit the Cathedral before dinner at our hotel.(Full English breakfast/ Dinner)

Day 5 York - Sherwood Forest - London
TThis morning we travel south through Sherwood Forest to see the Church where, according to legend, Maid Marion and Robin Hood were married. Then on to Cambridge where we will see the magnificent architecture of Kings College Cathedral. We are back in London by the early evening. (Full Breakfast)

Plymouth Harbour Cruise
A boat trip around the harbour of one of England’s most famous seaports. View the Mayflower steps where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America, and ships sailed for Australia, New Zealand and Newfoundland. See panoramic vistas of Plymouth Hoe, site of Drake’s legendary game of bowls. Into the Royal Navy Dockyard and a chance to see some of the modern vessels of the Royal Navy. Lake Windermere Cruise and Steam Train Ride
A chance to view the glorious scenery of the lake district as we cruise across England’s largest lake. Then step back in time as we board the steam train for a short journey from Lakeside to Haverthwaite.
