9 Day Tour of New Zealand with Auckland, Rotorua, Queenstown and Tekapo

Kick off your tour in Auckland, the City of Sails. After your arrival, meet your Travel Director and group. First, you will begin a city tour, and we will make our way along the waterfront. We will journey from central city to Mission Bay. Then, you will get stunning shots at Bastion Point. The views include the city and the Waitemata.

Today, you will choose your own adventure. First, you could take a scenic cruise. This 90-minute tour goes across the Auckland Harbour.

Alternatively, you could learn about the All Blacks. You will find out what it takes to be a rugby player. You can also test your skills in an interactive zone. This hands-on experience is a lot of fun.

Today, we will set off for Rotorua. We will pass through Cambridge, the “Town of Trees.” Next, you will take a guided tour. You will visit the National Kiwi Hatchery, here, you will learn about saving the kiwi. You may even see newly hatched chicks.

Afterward, we will visit a Pounamu workshop. You will see skilled artisans at work. You will also learn about the cultural significance of jade. This evening, you may choose to embark on the Te Pō Indigenous Experience at Te Puia. Experience a Maori cultural performance before you dig into hangi-inspired cuisine.

Today, you will experience the wonders of Rotorua. You can choose your own adventure. First, you could tour the Hobbiton Movie Set. You will step into the Shire and see Hobbit Holes. You will also enjoy a Hobbit beverage.

Alternatively, you could relax at the Wai Ariki Spa. You will enjoy a restorative spa journey. Or, you can discover Rotorua’s lakes from a fully restored World War II amphibious vehicle, accompanied by stories.

Today, you will travel back to Auckland by coach. Afterward, you will fly to Queenstown. This is the adventure capital of the world. Upon arrival, we will drive around the shores of Lake Wakatipu. You will get your bearings for what is to come. Finally, speak with your Travel Director. They will offer you dining recommendations.

Today is about adventures in Queenstown. You can choose your own experience. First, movie buffs can tour Glenorchy, here you will discover Lord of the Rings locations.

Alternatively, wine lovers can join a boutique tour. You will sample wine at four vineyards. In the evening, you could take a cruise to Walter Peak Station. Here you can enjoy a BBQ dinner and a farm show at the Colonel’s Homestead.

Today, you can choose from many activities. First, you could take a day trip. You will cruise through Milford Sound. This is a must-see South Island icon.

Alternatively, visit the Kiwi Park wildlife sanctuary. You’ll see over 20 native New Zealand species. In addition, adrenaline junkies can go jet-boating. Experience the famous “Shotover Jet Turn” on the Shotover River. Afterward, unwind with a bite to eat.

Today, set your course to the Mackenzie region. We will stop in Cromwell to taste stone fruit. Next, get your camera ready for Lake Tekapo. You will see rugged hills and snow-capped mountains. You’ll also see the Church of the Good Shepherd, and the bronze statue of a collie dog.

Later, you can choose your way to explore. You could soar over Mount Cook National Park. You will also see the Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. In the evening, you can choose to go stargazing, you will see amazing constellations with a local guide.
