Stonehenge and Windsor Castle In-Depth Day Tour

Begin your journey just west of London in the charming town of Windsor, situated along the scenic River Thames. As one of only eight Royal Boroughs in the UK, Windsor has been granted this special status by royal decree, and it’s easy to see why. Steeped in history, the town is home to Windsor Castle, a residence of the British Royal Family. Built by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, the Castle has hosted countless royal events, including the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan. You can choose to purchase a ticket to explore the Castle itself or simply enjoy wandering the picturesque, cobbled streets of Windsor at your own pace.

The tour continues to Stonehenge, one of the most famous prehistoric monuments in the world. Located in Wiltshire, this awe-inspiring circle of sarsen and bluestones dates back to around 3000 BC. Many stones are over 13 feet tall, 7 feet wide, and weigh up to 30 tonnes. Theories abound about how these colossal stones were transported—some suggest they were moved over 30 kilometres to their current location.

Throughout your journey, your professional guide will share fascinating facts, historical insights, and local stories about both Windsor and Stonehenge.

A complimentary snack pack is included on your coach tour, featuring a ploughman’s roll, apple, oat flapjack, crisps, biscuits, and bottled water, giving you more time to enjoy the sights without worrying about lunch.

Expert tip: Windsor is full of delightful cafes—don’t miss Ole & Steen on King Edward VII Avenue, where the cinnamon social pastry is a must-try.

You’ll also receive access to taste card and Coffee Club, offering discounts on meals, drinks, cinema tickets, and days out, helping you save while exploring.
