Your Conductor will vividly describe where gruesome murders, tortures, and executions took place, revealing where certain restless spirits still linger. Hear grim tales from Edinburgh’s history, from infamous figures like Burke and Hare to the hundreds of women tragically drowned or burned as witches. Be prepared for surprises onboard the bus itself – it was once a funeral bus, so it’s no surprise that the deceased may have left their imprint on the vehicle!

Enjoy this spooky ride aboard the only surviving Necropolis Bus. The Necropolis Bus Company, originating in the 19th century, was a private funeral service, transporting the deceased, pallbearers, and mourners to their final resting places. Painted in the traditional midnight black of all Necropolis Routemaster buses, it features eerie decorative lamps and window curtains. In 1967, a mysterious fire destroyed the entire fleet… leaving only this one bus to survive. The question is: will you?
