The State Apartments

Opening Hours:

March – October: Open Thursday to Monday, from 10:00 AM to 5:15 PM (last admission at 4:00 PM).
November – February: Open Thursday to Monday, from 10:00 AM to 4:15 PM (last admission at 3:00 PM).

Please Note:

Windsor Castle is open daily throughout the year, with some exceptions. These occur when the Castle is in use for official functions. As a working royal palace, The King frequently uses the Castle for State ceremonies and official entertaining. Therefore, closures can occasionally occur at short notice.

St. George’s Chapel:

St George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays. Services are held throughout the day. Visitors to the Castle on Sundays will not be able to enter the chapel. This also means you cannot view the burial place of Queen Elizabeth II on Sundays.
