River Thames Jazz Cruise

The cruise departs from Westminster Pier, a central and easily accessible location. Boarding commences at 7:45 PM, allowing guests to settle in comfortably before departure. The vessel sets sail promptly at 8:00 PM, embarking on its memorable voyage. The return to Westminster Pier is scheduled for 11:00 PM, concluding a full evening’s experience.

Upon arrival, guests receive a welcome glass of sparkling wine, setting a refined tone for the evening. A delicious three-course meal is served onboard. The menu requires pre-ordering before the day of sailing. Tea and coffee are also provided with the meal. Gluten-free options are available with 24 hours advance notice. Please note, City Cruises cannot guarantee a nut-free environment.

Live entertainment is a key highlight of the cruise. The acclaimed ChiJazz quintet performs throughout the evening. Their extensive repertoire includes jazz classics and contemporary pop tunes. Guests can expect to hear popular songs like “At Last,” “Summertime,” and “Night and Day.” Dancing is encouraged during the second half of their set, adding to the lively atmosphere.

As the cruise sails, guests will admire spectacular views of London’s riverside sights illuminated at night. The journey takes the vessel towards the glittering skyscrapers of Canary Wharf. Iconic landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and the London Eye appear beautifully lit. The historic Tower Bridge and the Tower of London also create stunning night-time vistas. An evening on the Thames Jazz Dinner Cruise begins with a warm welcome and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. As the vessel sets sail, the first course of a three-course dinner is served. Guests can enjoy their starter as the ChiJazz band commences the first part of their musical set for the evening.

The ChiJazz quintet boasts an extensive repertoire of tunes. Their performances range from classic jazz numbers to popular contemporary tunes. Well-known songs performed often include “At Last,” “Cry Me a River,” “Girl from Ipanema,” “Have You Met Miss Jones,” “Makin’ Whoopee,” “Mercy Mercy Mercy,” “Night and Day,” and “Summertime,” among many others.

The cruise sails on the Millennium Diamond, a stunning vessel, heading towards the glittering skyscrapers of Canary Wharf. During this scenic journey, the main course of dinner is enjoyed. Guests may also wish to purchase another glass of wine from the onboard bar. As space is made for dessert, accompanied by tea or coffee, the band prepares for the second half of their set. This portion features more great jazz music. If the mood inspires, it is an ideal time to take to the floor for dancing. The lively atmosphere and dancing continue until the vessel docks at approximately 11 pm for departure.
