Being at Stonehenge for the solstice is an unforgettable experience, whether you’re fascinated by ancient history, drawn to Neolithic mysteries, intrigued by pagan traditions, or simply curious about the spectacle itself.
Twice a year, the sun aligns perfectly with the Heel Stone, creating a breathtaking moment as its rays shine through what’s believed to be the ancient entrance and into the heart of the inner circle. If the skies are clear, the sight is nothing short of extraordinary. Each year, thousands of visitors gather to witness this rare event, which holds deep spiritual meaning for many.
The atmosphere is alive with celebration, as diverse groups; from druids and neo-pagans to Hare Krishnas and Wiccans all come together to honour this ancient tradition. The summer solstice also offers a once-a-year privilege: the chance to step inside the inner circle of Stonehenge itself, an experience not available on any regular visit.
We will pickup first at London Bridge, then Victoria and then Earls Court before heading west to Stonehenge.

Enjoy the amazing sight of the sun perfectly lining up with, and shining through, the Heel Stone – what is thought to be ancient man’s entrance to the mystical stone circle.
06:30 – Depart Stonehenge
This is the approximate time of departure from Stonehenge, but kindly pay close attention to your tour guide on the day as timings may vary.
08:30 – Arrive in London
