Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose a small group tour?
Small group tours offer a more personal and relaxed experience. With a maximum of 16 guests, your guide can spend time engaging with everyone, share insights, answer questions, and tailor the experience to the group. Smaller numbers also mean less waiting, more flexibility, and the chance to explore scenic routes or make spontaneous photo stops along the way.
Are the meeting points easy to find?
Yes! All meeting points are within a short walk of tube or bus stations, and easily accessible by taxi. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your tour starts. Tours depart on time, so late arrivals may need to join at the first stop, and any extra travel costs are the responsibility of the guest.
How will I identify the vehicle at the meeting point?
You’ll be greeted by your guide holding a sign for the tour. Vehicles are executive minicoaches, sized to fit the small group comfortably.
How much time is spent at each sightseeing stop?
-
Stonehenge: Approximately 1 hour 10 minutes, with early entry to avoid crowds.
-
Bath: Around 1 hour 30 minutes, including a coach panoramic tour and time to enter the Roman Baths if selected.
-
Windsor Castle: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes; entry included when the castle is open.
Winter itineraries (Nov–Feb) run in reverse, starting at Windsor, then Stonehenge, and ending in Bath.
Are entries to the attractions included?
Entry to Stonehenge is included. Windsor Castle entry is optional and can be added when booking (except Tuesdays & Wednesdays). Roman Baths entry is not included, but optional tickets are available for select days. Audio guides for Stonehenge can be downloaded for free.
Can I touch the stones at Stonehenge?
No. Stonehenge is a protected World Heritage site. You can walk around the full perimeter, but touching the stones is not allowed.
Should I bring swimwear for visiting the Roman Baths?
No, the Roman Baths are now a museum, and bathing is not permitted.
Is food and drink included?
No, but there will be opportunities to buy food during the day. Packed lunches are welcome. Only cold food and drinks in screw-top containers are allowed on the coach. Hot drinks in sealed reusable cups are permitted.
How much walking is involved?
-
Stonehenge: Flat, well-pathed visitor areas; shuttle bus available.
-
Bath: About 15–20 minutes walk from the coach to the Roman Baths; some cobbled streets.
-
Windsor: Around 15 minutes walk from coach park to the castle, with some uphill sections.
What should I wear?
Dress for British weather. Layers are recommended, and waterproof jackets or umbrellas are advised. Comfortable footwear is a must due to walking.
How many people will be on the tour?
This is a small group tour with a maximum of 16 participants.
Do I need to tip the staff?
Tipping is optional. If you wish, 10% is customary in the UK.
What time do we return to London?
The tour aims to return to Victoria Train Station at approximately 6:30pm (7:45pm in winter). Times are estimates and depend on traffic conditions.
