The Tour will start with your Included Pre-Departure Services. Taking you to your local airport. After you arrive at Honolulu Airport, your Hawaii vacation begins.
Pearl Harbor
On the itinerary is a visit to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial. The memorial commemorates the tragic events of December 7, 1941. We will walk through the Visitor Centre and take a short boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial, the final resting place of 1,102 sailors and marines. After your visit, you’ll explore the exhibits that recount the events that led the U.S. to join World War II. As part of your tour, you’ll also see the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, which honours those who served in the US Armed Forces.
Before setting out on an exciting island tour of Oahu on Day 2. Make sure to take in the epic views from Pali Lookout toward Kaneohe Bay and the Windward Coast. We will journey beneath the towering Ko’olau Cliffs and along the rugged coastline. Continuing on to North Shore, a favourite spot for big wave surfers. We’ll also visit Haleiwa, the social and artistic hub of the North Shore. Stroll among small boutiques and plantation-era buildings, soaking up the laid-back atmosphere.
Maui
After a short flight to Kahului, Maui, you’ll discover a slice of Hawaiian paradise with magnificent nature and a variety of activities. You’ll visit the awe-inspiring Iao Valley State Park and see the 1,200-foot landmark, Iao Needle. This green-mantled rock outcropping overlooks sacred lands and served as a burial site for Hawaii’s chiefs for centuries.
While here, we’ll head to Upcountry Maui to see a different side of the island. You’ll visit one of the last working pineapple farms with a local expert. Learn about the impact these plantations had on the islands and sample the sweet Maui Gold pineapple. At its peak, Hawaii produced 75% of the world’s pineapples. The fruit even became a symbol for the state. Next, we’ll enjoy a farm-to-table lunch at the Hali’imaile General Store. The restaurant, a former plantation shop, is known for its outstanding island cuisine.
On day 6, you have the choice to either explore Haleakala National Park at sunrise. Here, you’ll see a volcanic landscape and hear Hawaiian legends about the active volcano. You’ll also see the unique Haleakalā Silversword plant. Or, alternatively, you can cruise to the scenic coastline of Lanaʻi island. Then, snorkel a dazzling coral reef home to abundant sea life. Once back, you’ll get together with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Celebration Dinner. Toast to your fantastic Hawaiian holiday!
