This trip is the perfect way to begin your South American adventure. You’ll travel through lively capitals, majestic national parks, and the historic Inca heart of Peru. Toronto
Firstly, you will arrive in Toronto, a vibrant city on Lake Ontario known for its food, wine, and eclectic restaurants. Start by seeing Toronto’s top sights. Afterward, you’ll venture to the quaint town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. This town offers gorgeous views of Lake Ontario. You’ll experience the spectacular Niagara Falls up close on a state-of-the-art eco-catamaran.
Later, you’ll be able to soar above Niagara’s landscapes on an exhilarating helicopter flight if you choose. From there, you’ll witness the Whirlpool Rapids, Rainbow Bridge, American Falls, Skylon Tower, and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. You’ll also have to option to visit the top of the iconic CN Tower. You can interact with visual exhibits and enjoy panoramic views of the skyline and Lake Ontario.
Continuing on our journey, you head to Kingston, also known as the Limestone City. On the way, you’ll see the city’s historic buildings, churches, and fortifications. Most of them were constructed from limestone.
Ottawa
Next, you’ll travel to the Canadian capital of Ottawa. Here, you’ll join a cooking demonstration at a local barn. The barn is owned by Just Food, a non-profit organization that focuses on sustainable food and farming. You’ll learn new culinary skills and discover local cuisine.
You’ll tour the city’s stately boulevards, and visit Mādahòkì Farm. Here you’ll learn about the diversity of Canada’s Indigenous cultures. You’ll also see how they revive traditional arts by creating partnerships with elders and artisans.
Montreal
We will continue our journey to the diverse metropolis of Montreal. Located in the French-speaking province of Quebec, this city awaits you. Here, a Local Expert will guide you around Old Montreal. The narrow cobblestone streets draw you in with their lively plazas, shops, and cafes. As a historic neighbourhood and a current hot spot, Old Montreal has beautiful architecture, vibrant street art, and plenty of opportunities for photos. Afterward, you’ll visit the Notre-Dame Basilica and learn the history of Canada’s first Neo-Gothic church. As you explore, you’ll marvel at its breath taking architecture and exceptional stained-glass windows.
Quebec City
As we depart Montreal, be ready immerse yourself in Canadian culinary adventures. You’ll indulge in the sweet delights of maple syrup, which is harvested and crafted on-site. While here, you can visit Montmorency Falls Park and experience the natural wonder that towers 272 feet over the Saint Lawrence River. Alternatively, visit a Copper Art Studio. You’ll get a guided tour and a demonstration of repoussé copper art before trying it yourself.
Discover more of Quebec City’s history and charm with a Local Expert. You’ll see the Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham, City Hall, and Palace Royale. Bar Harbor
Crossing the U.S. border, you’ll travel toward Mount Desert Island on the Atlantic Coast. This large island is a tranquil getaway with freshwater lakes, rugged clifftops, forests, and striking mountains.
A visit to Acadia National Park, is on to do to list, you’ll see its dramatic rocky shoreline and rugged nautical charm. Next, witness amazing views of the park from the top of Cadillac Mountain. Boston
