Afternoon: Kilchoman & Bunnahabhain Experiences
At Kilchoman, Islay’s only Single Farm Single Malt Scotch Whisky, experience their “barley-to-bottle” tradition on an exclusive tour. Taste their distinctive whisky, with notes of peat smoke, citrus, spice, and fruit, followed by a delicious local lunch. Post-lunch, we’ll travel through Islay’s scenic countryside to Bunnahabhain, Islay’s most remote distillery, to savour three drams of their famous unpeated, salty whisky.

Day 3 - Islay's Southern Shores – Legendary Whiskies & Ancient History
On day three, the tour delves into Islay’s southern reaches, home to legendary distilleries like Laphroaig, Lagavulin, and Ardbeg. The scenic drive south to Ardbeg passes rolling green hills, sheep-dotted fields, and vast moorland. Afternoon: Island Exploration, Lagavulin & Laphroaig
Throughout the day, your driver-guide will lead you to historical gems like the Kildalton Church ruins, home to an exquisite 8th-century cross. Later, we’ll visit Lagavulin’s Bar for more whisky tastings, known for its intensely smoky and earthy notes. Next up is Laphroaig, a royal favorite for over 200 years. Day 4 - Islay Farewell & Highland Journeys to Oban
he tour begins by heading to Port Ellen to catch the ferry back to the mainland. Travelers leave behind the rich aromas of whisky, embracing the fresh, clean air of Scotland’s West Highlands.
Mid-Morning: Ferry to Kennacraig
As the ferry sails from Islay, guests can take in sweeping views of the island’s rugged coastlines, iconic distilleries, and the towering Paps of Jura. The open waters offer chances to spot marine life, including dolphins, seals, and occasionally minke whales or basking sharks.
Afternoon: Inveraray Lunch & Journey to Oban

You’ll island-hop through Mull’s lush pastures, dense woodlands, and peat bogs en route to Fionnphort, where you’ll choose your next adventure.
Mid-Morning: Iona or Staffa Exploration
At Fionnphort, you can decide how to spend your time. Take a small ferry to Iona, the birthplace of Celtic Christianity and ancient burial ground of Scottish kings. Explore its rich history, visit the historic abbey, or wander its rocky headlands and sandy coves. Alternatively, split your time between Iona and an optional trip to Staffa, where you can marvel at the dramatic basalt columns of Fingal’s Cave, immortalized by Mendelssohn.

Afternoon: Fort Augustus, Loch Ness & Highland Gems
Next, the tour travels past shimmering lochs framed by rugged mountains, arriving in the charming village of Fort Augustus, nestled on the banks of Loch Ness. Here, guests can savor local specialties, stroll to the shores of the mysterious loch, and try to catch sight of the elusive monster. Day 11 - Orkney Farewell, North Coast 500 & Ullapool
Say farewell to Kirkwall as the tour travels once again through Orkney’s rugged, windswept landscape and past the calm, deep waters of Scapa Flow to St Margaret’s Hope and the ferry terminal.
Mid-Morning: Ferry to Mainland Scotland
Enjoy an hour-long journey across the Viking waters of the Pentland Firth. Keep your eyes peeled for any signs of whales or dolphins during your crossing.
Afternoon: North Coast 500 & Assynt Wilderness
Back on the mainland, the northern stretch of the North Coast 500 takes guests through some of Scotland’s most remote and rugged landscapes, with dramatic cliffs, windswept beaches, and rolling hills. Your driver-guide will lead you to the most scenic spots before reaching Smoo Cave, a vast sea cave with a labyrinth of chambers to explore. From here, the tour heads into the far northwest Highlands, where the wilderness of the Assynt mountains awaits. Today is a free day to explore Ullapool at your leisure, with no guide on hand. It’s a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere of this picturesque fishing town, surrounded by stunning mountains. You’ll rejoin a new driver-guide and companions on day 13.
Mid-Morning: Optional Summer Isles Cruise
Ullapool is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. As an option for today’s adventure, consider a boat cruise around the nearby Summer Isles. Keep your eyes peeled as you glide across the waters – you might spot seals basking on rocks, dolphins and porpoises playing in the waves, and a wide variety of seabirds.
Afternoon: Town Exploration & Hill Walk
Being on the water is sure to sharpen your appetite, so pay a visit to one of Ullapool’s cafes or seafood restaurants for lunch. Day 13 - Ullapool to Stornoway – Gateway to the Outer Hebrides
Wake up and enjoy breakfast with views over a glistening Loch Broom. Today, you’ll join a new driver-guide and fellow travelers for the fourth leg of your journey. Once settled on the bus with your new group, the adventure continues as you prepare to board a ferry to the Outer Hebrides.
Mid-Morning: Ferry to Stornoway
Board the ferry for an exciting two-and-a-half-hour journey past the Summer Isles to Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides. This trip through the Minch is rumored to be home to the Hebridean Sea Serpent – keep an eye out for this mythical creature! If you’re not lucky enough to spot it, there’s still a chance of seeing dolphins and whales.
Afternoon: Isle of Lewis & Butt of Lewis Lighthouse
Upon arrival at Stornoway on the Western Isles, you’ll have lunch at a local cafe or restaurant. Recharged with local specialties, your exploration of these unique and remote islands begins. You’ll spend the next two days discovering the rugged landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and slower pace of life that the Outer Hebrides are known for. Head to the northwest coast, traveling through traditional crofting towns and seaside ports. You’ll explore the island in the morning, with a short break in Tarbert, nestled between Lewis and Harris.

Day 17 - Skye to Edinburgh – Highland Grand Finale
