The band featured four members: Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, who became known for their catchy melodies, lush harmonies, and polished, upbeat sound. They first captured international attention in 1974 when “Waterloo” won the Eurovision Song Contest, sparking a string of hits including “Dancing Queen,” “Mamma Mia,” and “Take a Chance on Me.” Known for their colourful costumes and energetic performances, ABBA became icons of the disco era. Although they disbanded in 1982, their music has endured through stage musicals, films, and countless covers.
