Full details of our feature tour below and other multi-day/day tours we offer. First some fascinating information about the stunning Iguazú National Park, which we visit in Argentina on this tour.

Stretching along the Iguazú River on the border of Argentina and Brazil, Iguazú National Park protects one of the most extraordinary natural wonders on Earth: the Iguazú Falls. Covering 261 square miles, the park is paired with Brazil’s Iguaçu National Park to safeguard the surrounding rainforest and its remarkable biodiversity.
Around 80% of the falls lie on the Argentine side, where extensive trails and catwalks provide unforgettable views. Depending on how they’re counted, the system consists of either 275 distinct cascades or roughly 85 main drops.
The most dramatic section is Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), where a U-shaped canyon funnels torrents of water into a thundering chasm. The falls’ tiered formations, created by layers of basalt rock, give them their staircase-like appearance. Iguazú is wider and taller than Niagara and is often described as the world’s most beautiful waterfall.

Larger than Niagra Falls, you will the amazing Iguazu Falls found in Iguazu national Park Argentina
The park is home to an impressive range of species, though many remain elusive. Top predators such as jaguars, jaguarundis, and ocelots roam the dense rainforest, while endangered giants like the otter and anteater also inhabit the area.
More easily spotted are toucans—best seen at dawn—as well as coatis, raccoon-like animals that often wander the trails near the falls. Butterflies are especially abundant, particularly around the train stop leading to Devil’s Throat.
Together, Argentina and Brazil protect the world’s largest waterfall system and the rainforest that surrounds it, ensuring that Iguazú National Park remains both a sanctuary for wildlife and a breathtaking destination for visitors.
9 Day Tour Exploring Brazil and Argentina
Experience the vibrant contrasts of Argentina and Brazil on this journey. You’ll move from bustling city streets to rainforest trails and golden Atlantic shores.
In Buenos Aires, uncover the nation’s political history at Plaza de Mayo. Feel the rhythm of tango in the place where it was born. Then, venture into the Pampas to visit a working estancia. Here, regional cuisine and gaucho traditions bring Argentina’s rural heritage to life. You’ll also get to marvel at the thundering Iguazú Falls from both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. Discover the cultural importance of yerba mate, from how it’s cultivated to the ritual of sharing it.
Firstly, in Buenos Aires, you’ll explore the capital with your Travel Director on a guided walking tour. Here, you will see key attractions like Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada, the presidential palace. Then, you’ll visit the Metropolitan Cathedral. Finally, to fisrt the day, In San Telmo, you’ll experience an Insightful Encounter at El Viejo Almacén. One of the city’s oldest tango venues. Watch as dancers bring this expressive art form to life.

We will leave the city behind as we journey into the fertile lowlands of the Pampas. You’ll visit La Bandada, a traditional estancia nestled among open plains and native woodlands. This family-run ranch offers a warm welcome and a glimpse into gaucho heritage. You’ll enjoy a lunch of regional specialties in a relaxed, rustic setting. Later, you can choose what you would like to do. Choose to discover Argentina’s national sport with an introduction to polo. You’ll learn about the rules, strategy, and enduring popularity of the game. Alternatively, step into the kitchen for a hands-on cooking class. The estancia’s chef will share the secrets behind Argentina’s beloved empanadas.
Furthermore, we will fly north to the province of Misiones, where subtropical rainforest meets one of South America’s greatest natural wonders. The Iguazú River plunges into nearly 300 individual cascades, creating the awe-inspiring Iguazú Falls. These falls are wider than Victoria Falls and taller than Niagara Falls. As you arrive in Puerto Iguazú, you’ll see the region’s rich biodiversity and striking red earth.
While here, you’ll explore the Argentinian side of Iguazú Falls with a Local Expert. A network of trails and walkways will reveal the raw beauty of this UNESCO-listed site. Next, you’ll cross into Brazil with your Local Expert for a guided visit to the eastern side of the falls. The trail is shorter, but the perspective is broader. Here, you can see the entire waterfall system, including San Martin Island, from panoramic viewing platforms.
Then, board your flight to Rio de Janeiro.
Here, in Rio de Janeiro, your hotel sits just moments from Copacabana Beach, one of Brazil’s most iconic attractions. Additionally, you’ll get to explore Rio de Janeiro with a Local Expert. Discovering neighbourhoods and landmarks that reveal the city’s history, culture, and natural setting. You’ll get Fast Pass Access as you ride the cable car to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain.
