10 Day Hawaii, Maui, Oahu and Kauai

In Maui, culture is not something to observe from afar, it’s something to indulge and experience. Whether you’re learning a hula step at a luau, tasting amazing local cuisine, exploring sacred sites, or simply sharing a smile with a local, you’ll discover an island where history, heritage, and hospitality are beautifully intertwined.

Maui offers travellers more than stunning beaches and breathtaking mountains, it’s also a vibrant blend of cultures, traditions, and history that make the island truly unique. With its natural beauty carefully preserved over the centuries and its people deeply connected to the land, Maui invites you to experience a cultural mosaic you’ll never forget.

Maui’s residents are known for their warmth, generosity, and the welcoming Aloha Spirit. The island is home to more than 50 ethnic groups, with no single majority. Most locals trace their ancestry to a mixture of communities, including Hawaiian, Filipino, Japanese, Portuguese, Chinese, Puerto Rican, and more. This cultural diversity shapes the island’s traditions, values, and way of life, all rooted in harmony and mutual respect.

No trip to Maui is complete without experiencing a traditional luau. These lively feasts bring together Polynesian dance, music, and cuisine. Guests are greeted with leis, treated to authentic Hawaiian dishes, and entertained with hula, fire knife dances, and Taiko drumming. Luaus capture both the celebratory and spiritual aspects of Maui’s heritage, offering an unforgettable glimpse into island traditions.

Above all, Maui is guided by Hawaiian values that emphasize love, harmony, and respect. The Aloha Spirit embodies kindness and openness.

10 Day Hawaii, Maui, Oahu and Kauai

Maui is the premier whale-watching destination in Hawaii, especially for humpback whales that gather each winter in the sheltered waters of the ʻAuʻau Channel. Every year, these majestic mammals migrate from Alaska to Maui’s warm seas, where they mate and give birth between November and April. Visitors often spot them in small pods — either groups of adults or a mother with her calf and protective companions. Once endangered, humpbacks are now federally and state-protected. Green sea turtles are another iconic sight around Maui’s shores, often seen resting along beaches after long swims.

While Maui’s birdlife is not as concentrated in endemic species as some of the other Hawaiian Islands, it does host rare and remarkable species. Historically, the island supported flightless ibises, moa-nalo ducks, and even a now-extinct sea eagle.

Conservation efforts are vital for their survival. The parrotbill, in particular, faces high mortality from mosquito-borne diseases like avian malaria, meaning that forests above 1,500 meters provide its only safe refuge. Restoration projects in East Maui continue to protect this fragile habitat, though expanding human development has reduced natural sanctuaries. Alongside birdlife, more than 250 species of Maui’s native plants are currently listed as threatened or endangered, underscoring the importance of ongoing preservation.

Get ready to explore the stunning Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Maui. Your amazing journey will explore Hawaii’s most iconic landmarks, including the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbour and Iolani Palace, the only royal residence in the United States. At Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, walk through the Thurston Lava Tube and witness the awe-inspiring landscapes shaped by Mauna Loa and Kilauea.

You will also visit a traditional coffee farm and sample the world-renowned Kona blend, plus a stop at the Jaggar Museum, where exhibits honour Pelehonuamea, the revered Goddess of Volcanoes. Throughout your stay, delight in fusion cuisine and unwind in luxurious, sea-facing hotels, surrounded by the natural beauty of these stunning islands.

Pearl Harbour

On the itinerary is a visit to the Pearl Harbour National Memorial. The memorial commemorates the tragic events of December 7, 1941. We will walk through the Visitor Centre and take a short boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial, the final resting place of 1,102 sailors and marines. After your visit, you’ll explore the exhibits that recount the events that led the U.S. to join World War II. As part of your tour, you’ll also see the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, which honours those who served in the US Armed Forces.

Before setting out on an exciting island tour of Oahu on Day 2. Make sure to take in the epic views from Pali Lookout toward Kaneohe Bay and the Windward Coast. We will journey beneath the towering Ko’olau Cliffs and along the rugged coastline. Continuing on to North Shore, a favourite spot for big wave surfers. We’ll also visit Haleiwa, the social and artistic hub of the North Shore. Stroll among small boutiques and plantation-era buildings, soaking up the laid-back atmosphere.

10 Day Hawaii, Maui, Oahu and Kauai

Maui

After a short flight to Kahului, Maui, you’ll discover a slice of Hawaiian paradise with magnificent nature and a variety of activities. You’ll visit the awe-inspiring Iao Valley State Park and see the 1,200-foot landmark, Iao Needle. This green-mantled rock outcropping overlooks sacred lands and served as a burial site for Hawaii’s chiefs for centuries.

While here, we’ll head to Upcountry Maui to see a different side of the island. You’ll visit one of the last working pineapple farms with a local expert. Learn about the impact these plantations had on the islands and sample the sweet Maui Gold pineapple. At its peak, Hawaii produced 75% of the world’s pineapples. The fruit even became a symbol for the state. Next, we’ll enjoy a farm-to-table lunch at the Haliimaile General Store. The restaurant, a former plantation shop, is known for its outstanding island cuisine.
